Heat Stroke Evasion Part 4: Swooning Bibliophile

Sean and I have moved five times in four years.
That kind of nomadic life makes you evaluate your belongings in a totally different way: Do I really need to pack this, lug this to my new home and then find a new place for it there?
This made it a little easier to get rid of a lot of shoes and purses, but when it came to books I remember crying when I had to get rid of some.
When we moved into the apartment, all of my books had to fit into one little cabinet. I shoved as many as I could in there and got rid of what didn't fit that I could part with without sobbing uncontrollably.
Because they were stacked in there, there was no real organization, so when we moved to the house, I found books I had forgotten about.
I had room for more books at the house, but still didn't have a bookcase, so I had to shove my books into the bottom of the big blue cabinet in my craft room.

Saturday morning, I bought a bookcase.
Sunday night, I put all my books on the selves. Monday morning I organized them and stood them up properly with the bindings showing.

Ahhh. Such a simple thing, but it's so wonderful.
Have you ever felt your heart smile?

looks like you should have bought a bigger bookshelf. That one is already full!
