The hills were alive with the sound of panting

On our first full day in Medford, David, Stina, Sean and I hiked Table Rock.
In a valley of high, snow-capped mountain peaks, a long flat mesa is a pretty noticeable landmark, and is therefore kind of a big deal in the area.

I've always wanted to hike it, but never had the chance.
I thought to myself: "It's a good thing I've been working out. I won't be out of breath and embarrassed at my inability to do a simple hike."
Well, I wasn't totally embarrassed, and I think we did pretty well, but I am starting to question the effectiveness of my workout regimen. We didn't die, or want to die on the mountain, but there were a few stops along the way in which I may have faked admiration for the view so I could stop and take pictures (read: catch breath).

SQUIRREL!

The view at the top was well worth the exertion.

The last two photos may be in the all time favorite category - thanks to David for taking the shot!
