Weather is one of those go-to socially acceptable topics one can bring up while riding in an elevator.
And here in Arizona, weather is a very important subject.
Winter temperatures are something to brag about, and for many, it's the reason they live here.
But when temperatures move above or below the 70 to 80 degree comfort zone, people start complaining.
When it's so hot that it is hard to breathe, I wholeheartedly join in on the complaining. I'll even complain when it's 90 degrees. I am not a fan of Arizona's extreme heat.
But when it's cold, like right now, I have to fight the urge to just "Uh-huh" as my fellow elevator passengers whine about their noses bring cold. As long as I am properly outfitted for the temperature, I enjoy cold weather. It's so rare here. Why not soak it up? It's only a matter of time before we reach the point that air-conditioning can no longer alleviate our discomfort and we can't take enough clothing off to get comfortable.
Pull out the hats, gloves and scarves you have tucked away in your closets for when you go up to Flagstaff to play in the snow. We finally have a reason to bundle up and not look like a bunch of weather wimps.
Revel in the cold. We'll all be melting soon enough.

yeah seriously there is a lot of people in arizona posting about how cold it is. I keep thinking...it isn't cold there and if by chance it is, it won't be for long. Suck it up and get over it.
I hate the cold. The cold stinks. I left New York to get away from the cold. In my contract with the State of Arizona, it specifically stated that the temperature would not drop below 62 degrees. Arizona is in direct breach of contract and I am suing!
