Weekend accomplished

Why do the good weekends go by so fast?
I finished my hat. It isn't as slouchy as many of the finished projects pictured on Ravelry, but it's still really pretty and warm -  just in time for some real winter weather this week.

Real winter weather in Phoenix is a high of 50 and rain, for which I will have to wear a wool sweater, my big pea coat and possibly tights under my jeans to stave off hypothermia. This after contemplating wearing capri pants and flip flops on Saturday. Weird.

I finished one slipper and upon trying it on, I realized just how confusing the pattern was. I can't even explain what I did or why I did it. The pattern is a bit of a narrative on how to make slippers in 47 different ways rather than just a list of how to stitch each row. The slipper isn't really wrong, as it did end up in a slipper-like shape, but it was rather large and well, just off.
It fit Sean better, so I'll make another one for him - that is if I can manage to figure out how to screw up the second one in the same manner as the first. Maybe I'll end up with a mitten this time...
