Having days filled with stuff to do is refreshing after sitting around long enough to leave a butt print on the couch.
It hasn't been a week yet, but I have been good about going to the gym every other day and I don't hate it yet. This is a good sign. Usually, I start coming up with excuses as to why I can't possibly find time to go ever again.
After an extended workout on Wednesday, I did the weekly grocery shopping and made dinner.
The new issue of Cook's Country is full of yumminess.
I made Balsamic Steak and Paprika Potatoes.
Smoked paprika rocks. If you see a recipe that calls for it and think, "Paprika is paprika. I'm not spending $6 on paprika," you're wrong. Smoked paprika has a completely different flavor that is worth shelling out some extra cash - and that's saying a lot coming from the girl who thought $4 for a pincushion was a bit pricey.
The smell... the flavor... and put it on potatoes - the best food on the planet - and I've found a dish I can live on.
The steak is tasty, but to me, it is the side dish.
